The Doctor and Rose are still processing what they discovered on Arcadia, when they get a SOS alert from someone from their past, and they end up having to save an entire planet from destruction, and work to protect each other and their daughter.
“Do you not want to go?” Rose asked. He shrugged.
“It’s not that I don’t not want to go, it’s just…” he said, breaking off, and Rose grabbed his hand.
“We have our own problems to solve?” she asked. He sighed.
“You’re very pregnant, Rose. This means, more than likely, willingly running into war,” he said softly. “And yes, well... Yes, I s’pose we have our own problems to solve.” A moment passed and he just smirked a little at her. “Did I mention you’re pregnant?”
“It’s news to me,” she joked, biting her lip, and he just shook his head lightly, their banter making the situation seem less demanding for a moment. “Doctor, they need our help. We promised.”
