As it had been foretold through the Universe, the powerful armies of the galaxies surrounded Trenzalore.
There was only one person between the planet and the destruction: the Doctor.
According to his calculation — that could be slightly wrong, he knew, but would never say that aloud — he defended the little town of Christmas through half a century.
Even with the lonely mission, the timelord tried to surround himself with the town's inhabitants, being loved and appreciated by all of them.
Between all those people, there's always someone who marks him from time to time. Barnable was one of them, rest in peace. And Winnie Moorland was about to become one of these people.
From the girl who he had seen born and grown in Trenzalore, the Doctor couldn't imagine that he would meet someone that would mark him more than those minutes of sunrise in Trenzalore.
