We all know the myths about the Doctor. The legends... the horror stories. A Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, ordinary by any metric, would go on to become the most extraordinary being in the universe, not by blood or privilege, but through their actions.
However, it's easy to forget that once, a very long time ago, the Doctor was just that: Ordinary. A child, a Time Lord in training.
And once, a very long time ago... we very nearly came close to losing him.
This is the story of the Doctor, as he was in his Academy days, his friends, and the terrifying stretch of seven days where he vanished from the universe entirely.
