I've always loved Ace AKA Dorothy McShane, ever since I saw her in a BBC2 rerun of Battlefield, years after the classic run of Doctor Who ended. Since then the Seventh Doctor and Ace have been my TARDIS team and I've so much love for them, Ace basically lives in my head rent free. We know so much about where she comes from and where she's headed (thanks to the Virgin New Adventures) but not so much about where she's from.

Here's my attempt at a story about Dorothy McShane before she becomes Ace. I hope you like it, I think there's so many more left to tell.
