The Doctor just smiled. Donna was still staring at them.
“You’re… You’re supposed to be dead…” she whispered, utterly confused.
“Am I? It didn’t suit me, so I decided no to.” River teased.
“No, but… We’re not supposed to be int the Doctor’s future together… You don’t know me.”
“Ah. I didn’t know you. A thing happened.”
“A thing always happen with them, doesn’t it?” Donna said sarcastically, recovering from her initial shock.
“Oi! It’s not true!” The Doctor exclaimed.
“It is, Doctor. Me being here is because “a thing happened”.” Donna air-quoted the last part.
