On Christmas 2010, the Doctor and Rose are celebrating with the Tyler's and some of their friends, when London is attacked by a mischievous alien (because of course it is), and they have to save the day.
“I love you, Lewis,” he said.
“I love you, too,” she whispered, taking another bite, and she held the biscuit out to him, smiling as he bit down on one of the legs. “And I can’t stop thinking about you, either.”
“Yeah?” he asked, his hand on her knee again. She nodded, taking the last bite, and he began to rub small circles with his thumb over her jeans. “What are you thinking about?”
“That I can’t believe it’s been five years since you changed,” she said, almost with a sense of wonder, and he nodded.
“I know,” he said. “Best time of my life.”
“And that we have a baby,” she said, smiling. “And that we’re married.”
“Mhm,” he hummed, watching her lips as she spoke, and she inched closer to him, her breath smelling of ginger and cloves and cinnamon when she spoke again, and dear God it was intoxicating.
