The Doctor has lived many lives and met many people, all of whom have meant a great deal to him. Living throughout the 20th and 21st Century, the Doctor has lived parallel to many of his friends. Out of kindness and friendship, the Doctor's friend Nardole continues to comprise a file of information on all the friends the Doctor can visit, just in case he ever wishes to make ammends.
