Four months after they defeated the Master and saved the universe, the Doctor and Rose are ready to return to the stars, but Jackie Tyler has other plans.

 “What the hell are you doing?!” he hissed in a whisper. Rose and Alice were both still asleep and he didn't want to wake them up, but she just looked at him expectedly.

“Why are you still in bed? Breakfast is only served until eight,” she said. “Tony is hungry.”

 “Great, then take him downstairs,” he said, but Jackie rolled her eyes and crossed to the crib, where Alice was just now waking up, too. “Jackie, come on, leave her. She was -”

“Hello, sweetheart,” she said, picking her up. She started to cry and the Doctor groaned, collapsing back into his pillow as Rose woke up next to him, and she began to look at her mother in sheer confusion.

“What’s happening?” she asked.
