The Master is back- but something isn't right with him; he's burning up his own energy, constantly hungry, and more insane than the Doctor has ever seen him. And he's blonde! But how can the Doctor learn to help him- or even accept that he may be like this permanently, after knowing how happy they have been in so many lifetimes? Sometimes, you have to look to the past for guidance. Literally.

Short fic, a sort of End of time AU which has the Master locked in the Doctor's TARDIS and has none of the events of the finale.
