Set mostly before "An Unearthly Child," but stretches throughout Doctor Who history. How did the Doctor come to own the TARDIS? And what does she feel about the matter?

I wrote this long before the episode "The Doctor's Wife."

I just thought it was high time the TARDIS got her own story. I also attempt to explain many things in the show which didn't quite make sense.
