“You don’t know that,” the Doctor mumbled. The frustration of not looking at Jamie properly was burning a hole through his stomach, but he clamped down at it, clenching his fists against the ache. “Anything could happen.”

 

“Aye, it could. That’s a risk I’ll have tae take.”

 

Jamie heads off to battle, Two tries to convince him not to go, and neither of them are honest with themselves.
