Baris Everdeen, a lone twenty-four-year-old hunter from the planet Panem, once had a great life. That was, until after a brief meeting with a Mockingjay, the symbol for his home world, he was warned of a devastating war that would occur and destroy his entire home and of a terrible fate that would arise: he would die saving the life of a friend he would, one day, meet when things turn darkest. Sometime after that, and after witnessing the terrible deaths of his loved ones, a mysterious hunter, called Sebastian, took him to Planet 1 where Baris has lived as his apprentice (or, to Baris, as a slave) to construct hunting zones for Sebastian’s obsessions. For eight years Baris has lived in a world that he calls “Hell,” but when he reunites with the man he is destined to save and meets his beautiful, young companion, Baris must make an impossible choice—a choice that could either end his life or, possibly, save it.
