After the Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith (but before the Waters of Mars), the Doctor went on a mission to track down members of the Trickster's Brigade. He was warned that the Trickster has found a terrible weapon that would be sure to defeat him. Could it be a child of Torchwood with a knack for entangling herself in alien business? Or perhaps a nameless woman whose keen interest in history does not include sharing her own? Against his better judgment, he finds himself unable to resist what might be his final mystery. Get ready for a deconstruction of teen romance tropes and the concept of Mary Sues in this story. Can they change the ending this time, or are they doomed to life as it was written?
