In Demetria's opinion, small things mattered. What dress she wore that day, if her shoes matched her outfit, if she was kind to the person next to her riding the bus, even if she ate enough fruits and vegetables. All of those tiny things meant something to her. Call it coping with small town life, but they did. That is, until the Daleks came. Then nothing mattered but getting out.
