While Rose and the Doctor are traveling, they reunite with Captain Jack Harkness, whose presence pushes the Tardis to the end of the universe. There, they discover the Master who takes the Tardis and Rose back to London, but by the time The Doctor catches up to her, she isn't Rose Tyler anymore. She's Rose Saxon, the wife of newly elected prime minister, Harold Saxon.
