Of Heathcliff and Rochester

The villagers said he was cold-hearted and ruthless, unforgiving and had a mighty temper. The grandson of a Countess, he always lived alone, never let anyone into his home and inspired fear in the hearts of people everywhere he went. He was a loner too - exiled himself from society to repent for his sins, or so the tale went. What those sins were exactly, no one could recall of course.
